About us
Vision
The Edinburgh Entrepreneurship Club (the E-Club for short) was founded in 2005 to harness and enable the deep pool of entrepreneurial talents that exist among MBA students and MBA alumni of the University of Edinburgh Business School (UEBS).
The E-Club is focused on promoting entrepreneurial activity among MBA students, alumni, researchers and others from the University of Edinburgh and wider Scottish and UK communities who are starting, working for, or advising new venture creation and promoting innovation and entrepreneurial activity. In order to accomplish this, we have established the following objectives:
- Promote and facilitate the study and practice of entrepreneurship within the UEBS and the University of Edinburgh;
- Develop entrepreneurial knowledge and skills for creating new ventures among MBA and other postgraduate students;
- Facilitate the development of UEBS MBA graduates as motivated, ethical, and dynamic entrepreneurs;
- Stimulate a dynamic entrepreneurial network of linkages within the UEBS and among school of the University of Edinburgh that offers a supportive forum for exploring new business ideas and opportunities;
- Provide mechanisms to connect MBA and other postgraduate students with UEBS alumni, knowledge creators and entrepreneurs and supportive agents in Edinburgh and Lothians and the wider community;
- Develop an on-line resource and career-search infrastructure for providing access to information to start a new business and job opportunities in new businesses
